Scotts MAX™ Southern Weed & Feed is an innovative approach that kills existing weeds, including dollarweed, clover, chickweed, purslane, oxalis, and more (as listed). In addition, it feeds grass to crowd out future weeds and strengthens the lawn with more essential nutrients versus Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed & Feed, including kelp meal, worm castings, iron, and manganese. Scotts MAX™ Southern Weed & Feed is for use on on St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Centipede, Zoysia, and Carpetgrass lawns. Apply only to a dry lawn when grass and weeds are actively growing. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product. For Scotts broadcast/rotary spreader, using a setting of 4. For Scotts drop spreader, use a setting of 7 ¾. The product must be watered in immediately after application. Do not apply during winter dormancy period. Wait until after the third mowing of the season to apply. Do not apply to lawns or mixed lawns of Bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, Bluegrass, Fine Fescue, Bentgrass, Ryegrass, Tall Fescue, or Dichondra because injury may occur.
